Geometric Drawings

This series of drawings uses pen and collage to explore pattern work, mainly based on European stonework seen used on Gothic and Classical architectural. A continuing theme within the work is grid systems the pattern are enclosed in and repetitions of crosses and diamond shapes. These shapes are a common starting point and feature in patterns across the world and throughout time and be used to look at cultures evolution and how different cultures brought parts of other cultures into their own.
